People were crowding near the manor. Women, men as well as children from all status and professions filled the space. A medium sized stage was prepared in front of the manor as well as the deadly view of the guillotine.

Rea was squeezing through the hot body of the masses. The noises and the small area for breathing made him feel anxious. Taurent was nowhere to be seen.

All of a sudden, cheering and whistles filled the air. Two bulky men were holding a blonde man up the ramp. Taurent finally arrived. Rea's heart was beating loudly, he couldn't hear the voices of others any longer. His eyes were focused on the unkept figure of the man he called master.

"Taurent Brialle, had murdered his wife, a couple as well as several kids, totaling to 7 murders. Most of the acts occurred in this very manor that all of you are seeing. Due to his inhumane actions, the court had decided to punish him with a public execution. Let this day be a reminder to the public," a man announced.

Rea saw how Taurent was forced on his knee and placed his head directly under the blade. However, the boy noticed that the adult didn't resist or fight, as if he had accepted his fate. He couldn't believe his eyes as he pushed through the crowds harder.

"Wait, master!" Rea tried to reach out to him but he knew his voice could not overcome the loud noises the public was making. He kept pushing through, decreasing the distance between him and the stage with his tears running down his pale skin.

"Ma- Father!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Taurent was woken up to his senses. Something inside of him started working again. Taurent searched for the voice as he called out, "Rea? REA!" Taurent struggled out of the hold as he saw the face of the boy that had given him happiness, although it was shorter than the amount of despair he had lived in.

Rea attempted to climb on the stage as Taurent fell on the floor with his hands tied on his back. The boy pulled the man into his arms as the crowds started to murmur. The bulky man that held the rope to the guillotine tried to peel Taurent off from him.

"Wait, please. Please show mercy to him," Rea pleaded as his lips trembled. His voice was shaking as his breathing hitched from the cries. The men on the stage looked at each other as the person who had made an announcement earlier came close.

"Young boy, this person is a threat to society. Not only that, we had been instructed to carry out the punishment. No matter who you are, we can not defy the orders given."

Rea tightened his arms around Taurent. His small hands gripped on the shirt of the adult. The boy begged, "Please, I don't have anyone else."

The same man sighed as he signaled the nearest person beside the one holding the rope to take Taurent away. With the sudden actions, Rea felt as if his happiness was snatched away from his holds. Taurent also tried to escape from the strong man hold but he seemed weaker than usual.

With his last strength, Taurent was able to escape for a brief moment as he gave the boy a hug although without his arms enveloping the boy. There were soft sniffles near Rea's ear as Taurent rested his chin on the boy's shoulder.

With a small and heartbreaking voice, Taurent apologized, "I'm sorry I can't take care of you anymore. Live well, Rea."

Then, the both of them were separated from each other. Rea was forced to go down the stage and Taurent's neck was placed again right under the shiny blade. Rea cried his heart out as he shouted for the crowd to help him get Taurent back to him.

Instead, the people were cheering and throwing words of disgust and encouragement to finally execute the punishment, saying words such as "Serve you right, murderer!" and "Die, you psycho!"

The two of them had their eyes locked with each other, a pair of forest green and blue oceans together. The cheering was deafening yet all Rea could hear was the pleading his little heart made. The people were all around the place and yet all the boy could see was Taurent on the stage, his life on the verge of ending.

The man beside the guillotine, released the rope. The shiny blade swiftly went down and right before the metal met the human flesh, Rea saw the faint tired smile on Taurent's face. His chest tightened as the head of golden locks rolled into the bucket. The crowds were making happy noises as the life of a man halted.

Rea fell on his knee to the dirty ground. His mouth gaped in disbelief. He stayed there as the people started to disperse. The boy ignored everyone who tried to talk to him. Everything went by so fast for him until he was the only one in the area.

Then, what's next? Is this the end? Rea finally stood up. He looked around him with his lifeless eyes, everything was back to normal and at the same time different. As if his energy was sucked dry, the exhaustion in him was devouring him.

With his mechanical legs, Rea walked into the manor. He strolled around on every floor and went into every room. There were no more mannequins from real life humans. The room where Taurent used to work was in a mess. Rea touched the tools the man had used to make all of the dresses and dolls. From that day onwards, the tools didn't have an owner.

Maybe, I could? Rea thought to himself. His eyes were attracted to a pair of scissors. It was the same one Taurent had used to cut Sasha's tongue. Something snapped inside of him. He disheveled his hair roughly as his breathing became heavy. What should I do?

He walked downstairs with the scissors in his hands. He went to the hanging coat near the main entrance. The coat was light brown in color and Rea noticed something was inside the pocket. Rea put his hand inside and touched a cold metal. He fumbled the item and took it out until he realized he was holding a pistol. The police must have missed the coat since it was well hidden.

How clumsy, Rea thought. The boy tiptoed, attempting to take the coat and wore them. He recalled how the coat would embrace Taurent's figure nicely but on him, it perfectly covered him down to his ankle. He put both the pistol and the scissor in the pocket as he walked out.

The day started to become darker. The sun was going down, the street lights lit up. Rea took the turns of the alley back to the children's care home. He felt like doing something to blow the fire of fury in his heart.

Rea went in through the back door which led to the kitchen. He stood by the door silently as his eyes glued to the back of a brown-haired boy. Haemi hadn't realized Rea was there as he was pouring a glass of water from the jug.

"Haemi," Rea began. His soft voice startled the latter that a few droplets fell to the floor. Haemi quickly turned to the fair boy with his eyebrows close to each other. The older boy rested his back on the edge of the counter as he crossed his arms, asking "What do you want from me?"

"He's dead."

"I know. Then?" Haemi eyed the small figure. The fair boy was eyeing the floor while his hands were in the pockets. Haemi noticed the way Rea was fidgeting under the big coat that it irritated him so much.

Haemi sighed, "Stop wasting my time. What do you want?" The older boy urged sharply, observing as the smaller one flinched under his angry eyes.

"Haemi," Rea's voice was noticeably shaking as his green eyes looked up to the pair of brown. "Are you in pain?"

Haemi laughed as he brushed his hair back. He took the glass of water from the counter and splashed Rea with the liquid inside, "Knowing that I am alive in the same world as a cursed child like you, I am disgusted! I am SO disgusted that I could die!"

Rea's lips trembled as the spiteful words stabbed him like knives. The pale boy asked, "Would it be better if I die? Would it make you happy?" There was sadness in his expression. His eyes as dejected as a sad puppy were searching for the answer to the purpose of his life.

"Happy? I would be beyond delighted! It would have been better if you see me die first and then you kill yourself out of guilt. Take me out of this misery and then YOU," Haemi pointed his fingers as his nose flared wide as an angry bull. The older boy continued, "You should die because you are nothing but a nuisance for the people around you."

Rea walked closer to the brown-haired boy as soft sniffles escaped from his lips. Haemi took a step back as if Rea was a monster, afraid of what the fair boy could do out of the blue. Instead of a punch that Haemi had expected, Rea hugged him, very tightly.

"I'm sorry," was what came out of that small figure. His body was quivering as he held back the tears but he couldn't and so he wept. Haemi was dumbfounded but even so, he bit his lips as clear crystals started to fall down and his hands turned white from the tight fists he made.

"That is so unfair, Rea. I hate you. Do you not understand?!" Haemi swiftly squeezed him back. His voice was louder and angrier than usual, yet, Rea knew that Haemi was as confused as him.

"You are basically the cause of my parent's death but, deep inside I still love you. It hurts me so much. I don't know what to do anymore."

"I know. That's why, I want to stop hurting you," Rea pulled back. He smiled, a very genuine smile with a sad pair of eyes. As the warmth was filling up both of them, Haemi could feel something hot oozing out of his stomach.

The older boy patted his stomach once and he could feel the cold metal that Rea was gripping tightly. It was the scissors. Rea pushed it in deeper and twisted it that Haemi could feel his guts screwed.

Haemi coughed blood to the face of the boy in front of him. The contrast between the pale skin and the bright red was so evident that it looked oddly beautiful. The glistening tears streaming down his cheeks as Rea gritted his teeth together, Haemi could hear his own painful grunts.

"Rea," a breathy voice called out to him. Haemi slowly limped down and fell forward to the smaller boy. Both of them collapsed on the floor with Rea at the bottom. Rea was breathing heavily as Haemi coughed some more as the older boy's body squished him.

Rea embraced the boy on top of him tightly as he apologized over and over on how everything was his fault and so he did as Haemi asked of him. It was to kill the older boy and Rea would commit suicide.

Rea struggled to pull out the scissor from Haemi but somehow, it was harder than pushing it in. The fair boy remembered the gun from his pocket and took it out instead as Haemi's whole weight was on him. Rea put the muzzle in his mouth which was noticed by Haemi who moved weakly. The older boy tried to slap away the pistol from the other's hand.

Rea pushed away Haemi's hand as he was stronger than the latter at that time. Rea tried to reason, "I'm doing this for you and for the people, Haemi. Don't stop me. This ending is fitting for me."

Rea shut his eyes tight as the memories from before he was taken in by Taurent until that day flashed by quickly. Mom, dad, Oli, Jean, the twins, Lady Sasha, Lord Vestal, Lady Anne as well as Taurent. All of them died because of him. All of them suffered because he was helpless.

Rea had made up his mind and so he pulled the trigger. 'Click, click.' No bullet was going through his head and he could feel no pain. However, his chest twisted and he could feel the agony from within.

He pushed Haemi off of him and took a look in the barrel. There was none. It was an empty gun all along. Rea screamed in anguish until he felt a bloody hand patted his cheeks. Haemi chuckled in relief with the red blood trailing down from the corner of his lips down to his chin, "You are still as clueless as ever."
